Conferences

Beginning junior year of college, I began to attend a variety of conferences, most of which I have spoken at. I have enjoyed sharing my work with others, as well as learning and hearing from people who are just as passionate about education. Below are some conference highlights:

Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy of teaching is still growing. However, with all the classes I have taken and the field experiences that I have been offered, I can say what I believe about teaching and how the classroom should be run. Every student can learn the material, but students need to have the scaffolded learning experience to fully learn it. My final job in high school was at Build-a-Bear Workshop, which taught me how to be assertive when it comes to managing kids’ attentions. Throughout my undergraduate career at Millersville, I was given a lot of opportunities for field placements. Sophomore year I was able to observe 7th grade science and language arts classes in an urban setting, which was my first exposure to the age range I wanted to work with. Later on, right before student teaching, I was with 5th graders for a semester. With these...

On this blog, you will find a Google Drive to some of my sample works, a recap of my experience, my teaching philosophy, and professional development opportunities I have had. I hope you enjoy! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
